FAQs

Many of us have our favourite song from a popular artist but this music is copyright protected.   Using this song would most likely cause it to be blocked or removed from channels like YouTube or other social media platforms.  Videos produced by GIROVISUALS use licensed content from a stock music agency which grants commercial usage and will not be blocked.

Using your phone very often works but can have alot of limitations for a varied look and feel to a final video.  Limitations with a phones focal length and audio mic capabilities often mean the video is framed to loose and has poor audio and subject cannot be heard.   Plus batteries on phones are short when constantly shooting video, once depleted you cannot simply swap out the battery for a fresh one.  Storage on the phone may also be limited.  GIROVISUALS uses professional Nikon Z8 mirrorless cameras, GoPro, Insta360 X4 and DJI drones along with DJI Ronin gimbal and Rode audio mic’s which provides a lot more capabilities and produces higher quality results.

Yes content can be used for other use but quite often doesn’t work well for both.  The issue is that clips framed for a landscape orientation loose their meaning when a simple crop is made to portrait.  You can reorientate and just the portion with the subject for the portrait video but then often the meaning of the clip is lost.  It is best to shoot content with the intended use in mind to ensure subject, foreground and background capture the entire story.  Recent 360degree cameras allow the view to be reframed in landscape, portrait or 1:1 as everything is captured.  However, this comes at the expense of quality and limited looks as everything is captured in a wide angle view.

Most event videos come in three formats.  A long, short and story length.  Long can be 2-3min+, Short can be anywhere from 30sec-1min and stories generally 15 – 30 seconds. Most events want all three or a combination for the different outlets that they will sharing the content on.   As part of booking an event for videography this will be discussed and customised to suit your needs.
